The Cook’s Walk – Malton’s Ultimate Food & Culture Tour (25 Apr 2026)

Discover Malton like never before. Join Gilly, founder of The Cook’s Place, for a behind-the-scenes walking tour packed with incredible food, local stories, and hidden gems.

Sip artisan coffee, taste award-winning treats, and explore Malton’s best – from independent breweries and cheesemongers to bakeries, delis, and more. Along the way, uncover the town’s rich history, vibrant food scene, and unique character.

Finish with an exclusive experience, meeting a local food hero while enjoying a freshly prepared dish and delicious sweet treats. This April we will be joined by Justin Staal of Staal Smokehouse who will share his award-winning, hand smoked products from their smokehouse near Beverley. Listen to Justin’s foodie journey and explore his passion, all whilst Gilly cooks a light lunch with the delicious produce from the smokehouse.

Each tour starts at 10.30am at The Cook’s Place, and will finish with a light bite at around 2.00pm – giving plenty of time to explore all of this wonderful market town.
